RAISING FILMS AUSTRALIA SCREEN INDUSTRY FORUM: Perth satellite event LIVE STREAM:

Screenwest is pleased to LIVE STREAM the Raising Films Australia Screen Industry Forum - presented by Women in Film and Television (WIFT) Australia - on Thursday 6 December at our East Perth office.
In response to the Raising Films Australia Screen Industry Survey report...Honey, I Hid the Kids: Experiences of parents and carers in the Australian Screen Industry, WIFT Australia is hosting an industry forum to identify workable actions to address the needs of and issues faced by, parents and carers working in the Australian screen sector.
The keynote address will be given by Writer, Director and Producer Jocelyn Moorhouse whose new memoir, Unconditonal Love: A Memoir of Filmmaking and Motherhood is due to be released in early 2019.
The forum will include the lead researchers of the report Prof. Deb Verhoeven and Dr Sheree Gregory as well as experts on workplace and industry matters, including Parents at Work. The day will be facilitated by Monica Davidson from Creative Plus Business.
Screenwest is Western Australia's screen funding and development organisation, committed to working in partnership with the screen industry to develop, support and promote film, television and digital media production in Western Australia.
WIFT is the peak advocacy body for Women in the screen industry in Australia with a specific aim: to achieve gender parity in the film industry through advocacy, education and support of female identifying filmmakers. Find out more about the local chapter WIFT WA www.wiftwa.org.au

WIFT WA in conjunction with WIFT Australia, is proud to announce that applications for MentorHer are now open.
MentorHer is a three-month program that facilitates mentorships between emerging, early career and more experienced practitioners. The initiative offers support and guidance to help further careers in all areas of the screen industry.
Applications close Sunday, 5 August 2018.
WIFT will match mentors and mentees nationally beginning with an initial meeting in September 2018. WIFT will notify mentors and mentees of pairings by Tuesday, 4 September.

Join Women in Film & Television Western Australia for this year's CinefestOZ forum “Surviving Screen” where industry panelists will share their insights into riding the highs and lows of the professional rollercoaster.
The forum will also address the short and long-term issues facing women working in the screen industry and will engage discussion from the audience.
