WIFTI WA is extremely excited to announce that award winning London based Australian actress Frances O'Connor will be joining us for a meet-and-greet event on December 29th at 5:30pm at the Red Room, 1st Floor, Brass Monkey Hotel, cnr James & William St, Northbridge. Come share a drink and hear from Frances about her experiences.
Frances has played numerous roles in a number of award winning films including: ‘Mansfield Park’ (1999), ‘Bedazzled’ (2000), ‘A.I. Artificial Intelligence’ (2001), ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ (2002), and ‘Timeline’ (2003). Frrances has won an AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in ‘Blessed’ (2009), and earned Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film plus nominations for her performances in ‘Madame Bovary’ (2000) and ‘The Missing’ (2014). She also won the Best Actress award at the prestigious 55th annual Monte Carlo Television Festival for her role in ‘The Missing’.
Frances trained at WAAPA and has worked internationally for several years and will give her perspective on women's roles in the international film & television industries during this Q&A led by WIFTI WA chairperson Annie Murtagh-Monks.
WIFTI WA members and guests and any women working in the film, television and interactive industries in WA are invited to attend this networking event to celebrate the end to another exciting year in our industry.
